Location change for November and December Pack meetings!!

Folks, previous announcements informed you that we would need an alternate location for our Monday, December 13, 2004 Pack meeting. It has recently come to our attention that we will also need to relocate for the Monday, November 8, 2004 Pack meeting as well since the worship hall at Discovery will be used in church functions on both dates.

Both the November and December Pack meetings will be held on their regular dates listed above (the 2nd Monday of the month) at DEER VALLEY ELEMENTARY SCHOOL at our regular time of 7:00 p.m.. We are grateful for them allowing us to use their cafeteria for our meeting. Of course, we will need to be considerate guests and not let children wander around the school or cause mischief; we are free to use the lobby and cafeteria area for our meeting. I know you will help enforce this policy with our energetic young men. We also will leave the cafeteria as clean or cleaner than we found it. :)

Thanks in advance for your flexibility in this matter. Space may be tight but we will continue to have fun and a great meeting!

Yours in Cub Scouting,
Ed Dolensky

Announcements from the 10/11/04 Pack Meeting:

1. Popcorn sales forms are due to your den leader. Each den should make arrangements to pick up their popcorn at Discovery on the afternoon of Thursday November 4, 2004.

2. For those that ordered them new Pack t-shirts should be available at the November 8 Pack meeting.

3. Haunted Weekend forms are available at www.vulcandistrict.org. Pack 393 recommends session #6 at Camp Winnataska on 10/23-24/04.

4. Next Pack meeting is Monday November 8, 2004 with a Veteran's Day theme. Anyone with a veteran in the family can email a picture to the Cubmaster, Ed Dolensky, at dolensky@bellsouth.net.

5. The December 13 Pack meeting will have to be at an alternate site due to the Church needing the worship space on that night. Stay tuned to find out where we will be.

6. Mark your calendars for the Pack Conservation Project at Moss Rock Preserve Sunday November 14 at 2 p.m. when we will be picking up trash.

7. Religious Emblem for Webelo I and II "God and Family" for Methodist and other Protestant denominations can be earned at Discovery beginning in November. Classes will be held one weekday after school from 3:45-5:30 for 7-8 weeks to earn. This will fulfill the religous requirement your Webelo son has in order to earn the Arrow of Light Award. There are alternative ways to fulfill this requirement but this is a great program. More details to come. If interested please email the Cubmaster at the address above.
